Three Product Liability Lawsuits Dismissed Against Taser

Comments Off

Three wrongful death product liability lawsuits have been voluntarily dismissed against TASER International Inc. (TASR).

Plaintiffs in the McCargo wrongful death suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee; the Lieberman wrongful death suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and lastly, the Salazar wrongful death suit filed in Superior Court of the State of Arizona in and for the County of Maricopa – all agreed to voluntarily dismiss wrongful death lawsuits filed against Taser International.

The McCargo suit had just been served upon Taser International and was dismissed before Taser even had the chance to file a response. The Lieberman suit was dismissed prior to Taser International being served with the summons and complaint.

Taser International did not pay out compensation in anyway way, other than the waiving of counterclaims for fees and costs.
